Here’s the easiest way to remap a network drive using File Explorer (works for all recent Windows versions):

Open File Explorer
Click the folder icon in your taskbar, or press Windows key + E on your keyboard.
Go to "This PC"
Find and click "This PC" in the left - hand sidebar.
Click "Map network drive"
Look for this button in the top toolbar. If you can't see it, right - click "This PC" in the sidebar, and you'll find the option there.
Choose a drive letter
Pick any available letter (like Z: or Y:) from the drop - down menu.
Enter the network path
Type the folder's network address (e.g., \\server\sharedfiles). Ask your IT team if you don't know this path.
Optional settings
Check "Reconnect at sign - in" if you want the drive to appear automatically every time you log in.
Click "Connect using different credentials" if you need to use a different username/password.
Finish up
Click "Finish" – your network drive will now show up in File Explorer like a regular drive!
